Our Privacy Policy

Last updated: 07/29/26

1. Who we are and what this covers

This Privacy Policy explains how Pocket Change Collectibles LLC, a Florida limited liability company doing business as "SellPokemonNow" ("we," "us," "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you when you visit sellpokemonnow.com (the "Site"), contact us about selling cards, or complete a transaction with us.

Our Terms and Conditions govern the transactions themselves. This policy covers the information side.

If you have questions about anything here, contact us using the details in Section 15.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us directly.

  • Contact and identity information — name, phone number, email address, and general location or city, when you fill out a form, text us, email us, message us on social media, or call us.

  • Information about your cards — photographs, videos, card lists, spreadsheets, descriptions of condition and quantity, and any details you share about how you acquired them.

  • Government-issued identification — where we require ID to complete a purchase (see our Terms), we may collect and record your name, date of birth, address, and ID number from a driver's license or other government-issued ID, and may retain a copy or a record of the details.

  • Transaction and payment information — what we bought, what we paid, when, and the payment method. Where we pay you electronically, this may include the payment handle, account identifier, or address you give us for that purpose. We do not collect or store full card or bank numbers ourselves; those are handled by our bank or payment provider.

  • Mailing and shipping details — where you ship cards to us or we ship cards back, the address and tracking information involved.

  • Anything else you choose to send us — including the content of your messages, calls, and any reviews or testimonials you submit.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect device and usage information such as IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, links clicked, and time spent, using cookies and similar technologies. See Section 8.

Information from third parties. We may receive information about you from social media platforms when you message or interact with our accounts, from advertising and analytics providers, from our website and CRM platforms, and from public sources where relevant to verifying a transaction.

3. Sensitive information

Two categories deserve specific mention.

Identification documents. We collect ID information only where we require it for a purchase or where the law requires it. We use it solely to verify identity and maintain transaction records. We do not use it for marketing, and we do not sell it or share it with advertisers.

Photographs of your collection. Photos you send us may show more than the cards. Please avoid sending images containing documents, screens, addresses, or other people. We use submitted photos to evaluate your cards, to document condition, and as part of our transaction records. We do not publish photographs of your collection in marketing without your permission, except that once we own a card, images of that card may appear in our listings and promotional material.

4. How we use information

We use the information described above to:

  • respond to your inquiry, evaluate your cards, and give you an estimate or offer;

  • schedule and complete a purchase, including in-person meetings and mail-in submissions;

  • pay you, and keep accounting, tax, and inventory records;

  • verify identity and ownership, prevent fraud, and comply with our legal obligations;

  • communicate with you about an open transaction, including by phone, text, and email;

  • send you marketing communications where you have opted in, and measure how our marketing performs;

  • operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Site;

  • understand which markets and channels our sellers come from, in aggregate; and

  • resolve disputes and enforce our Terms.

5. Text messages and calls

If you give us your phone number, you consent to us contacting you at that number about your inquiry or transaction, including by text message. If you separately opt in to marketing texts, we may also send you buying updates and offers.

We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number or SMS consent with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Your number is shared only with the service providers that help us send and manage our messages, and only for that purpose.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any marketing text to opt out, or HELP for help. Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional messages about an open deal; tell us directly if you want those to stop too.

We may keep records of our text and email exchanges with you as part of our transaction records. If we ever record a phone call, we will tell you at the start of the call.

6. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own independent marketing.

We do share information in these situations:

  • Service providers. Companies that help us run the business — website hosting, customer relationship management and messaging, email and text delivery, phone service, cloud storage, bookkeeping and accounting, banking and payment services, shipping carriers, analytics, and advertising platforms. They may access your information only to perform services for us.

  • Contractors and staff. People who work for us — including remote assistants who handle seller communications and scheduling, and contractors who handle intake, scanning, or pricing — may access the information they need to do their work. They are subject to confidentiality obligations.

  • Advertising and analytics platforms. Where we run advertising, we may share limited information, or allow platforms to collect it via cookies and pixels, to measure and target our ads. Depending on the jurisdiction, this may be considered "sharing" or "targeted advertising." See Sections 8 and 9 for how to opt out.

  • Legal and safety. Where we believe in good faith it is necessary to comply with law, respond to a subpoena or lawful request, cooperate with law enforcement — including where we believe property offered to us may be stolen — protect our rights or property, or protect anyone's safety.

  • Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of our business or assets, information we hold may be transferred as part of that transaction. Any acquirer would remain bound by this policy with respect to information transferred, unless and until you are notified of a change.

7. Reviews and testimonials

We regularly ask customers to leave public reviews, including on Google. Reviews you post on a third-party platform are governed by that platform's privacy policy, and anything you write there is public. If you send us a testimonial or photo directly, we may use it in our marketing as described in our Terms. Ask us and we will stop using it going forward.

We do not offer payment, higher offers, or other consideration in exchange for a positive review.

8. Cookies and tracking

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies for necessary functions (such as keeping the site working and remembering form entries), for analytics, and — where we advertise — for measuring and targeting ads. Some of these are set by third parties, including analytics and social advertising platforms, which may use them to build profiles of your activity across sites.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of many advertising cookies through industry tools such as the Digital Advertising Alliance's opt-out page or your device's advertising settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how the Site works.

We do not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where we are required to.

9. Your choices and rights

Regardless of where you live, you may ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you;

  • give you a copy of it;

  • correct anything that is inaccurate;

  • delete it, subject to the exceptions below;

  • stop marketing to you, by email or text; or

  • stop targeted advertising based on your activity.

To make a request, contact us using the details in Section 15. We will verify your identity before acting on a request, which may mean asking you for information to match against our records. We will not discriminate against you for making a request.

Limits on deletion. We may need to keep certain records even after a deletion request — in particular, transaction records, identification records associated with a completed purchase, and accounting records — where retention is required for tax, accounting, legal, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes. Where that applies, we will delete what we can and tell you what we are keeping and why.

State privacy laws. Residents of some states have specific statutory privacy rights, which may include rights of access, correction, deletion, portability, opting out of targeted advertising or the sale of personal information, and appealing a denied request. We offer the rights above to everyone as a matter of policy. If you believe you have a statutory right we have not honored, contact us and we will address it, including providing an appeal where required.

Authorized agents. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf; we may require proof of their authority.

10. Data retention

We keep information only as long as we need it:

  • Inquiries that do not lead to a transaction — retained for a limited period so we can follow up and understand our marketing, then deleted or de-identified.

  • Transaction records, including bills of sale and identification records — retained for at least as long as required by applicable tax, accounting, and recordkeeping law, and for the period of any applicable statute of limitations.

  • Photographs and card documentation — retained as part of the transaction record, and for as long as we own the associated inventory.

  • Marketing contact information — retained until you opt out, and for a reasonable period after to honor your opt-out.

11. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information, including access controls limiting who on our team can see identification and payment details. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send us identification documents, payment details, or other sensitive information through public channels such as social media comments or public group posts.

If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and any required authorities as the law requires.

12. Children's privacy

The Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not sell cards to, or buy cards from, anyone under 18 except through a parent or legal guardian as described in our Terms. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Parents and guardians: if you are transacting on behalf of a minor, we will collect your information as the transacting adult, not the minor's, except as needed to document the transaction.

13. Third-party sites and platforms

The Site may link to third-party sites, and we maintain a presence on platforms including Google, Instagram, and Facebook. Those services have their own privacy policies and practices, which we do not control. Information you share in a public group or comment is visible to that group's members and the platform.

14. Changes to this policy, and where we operate

We may update this policy. The current version is always posted here with its "Last updated" date. If we make a material change to how we use information you have already given us, we will provide additional notice.

We operate in the United States, and information we collect is stored and processed here. If you access the Site from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country. We do not currently direct our services to individuals in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom.
